What is the Calgary Showband?

Comprised of 160 dedicated community youth, the Calgary Stampede Showband is the only 5-time World Champion of Marching Show Bands.
These dedicated youth come together to make over 200 appearances annually and are invited to entertain all over the world.
They are known for their innovative performances and unique visual entertainment.
The Stampede Showband is a Calgary Stampede Foundation Youth Program.

What is the Band of Outriders?

The Band of Outriders is an energetic 40-piece ensemble comprised of Calgary Stampede Showband alumni and other community musicians from the Calgary area.
Known for their high energy, unique style and diverse musical repertoire, their shows are not to be missed.
The Band of Outrdiers are volunteers of the Calgary Stampede.

What’s new in 2019?

This year, the Calgary Stampede is Host to the World Associations of Marching Showbands World Championships.
17 Marching Bands from around the world will be competing
The Showband will be competing for their 6^th World Champion Title.
This event runs from July 6^th to 8^th in the Saddledome and is free with admission to Stampede Park
Every year the Showband and Outriders add new and exciting music to their repertoire.

Do I need a ticket to spectate?

Will there be a line up?

There is no line to watch performances; however there can be crowds during some performances.

What time do I need to arrive?

You can arrive 5 minutes ahead of scheduled times to get a front row seat. Standing room is found easily throughout all of the performances
